LOVE YOURSELF

“Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.”

—Hellen Keller

Do you love yourself?
If yes, there is a chance that you would fall in love with your life as well!

Love yourself first and everything else will fall in line. The real difficulty is to overcome how you feel about yourself. Research suggests that self-acceptance could lead to greater satisfaction with your life. Compassion towards yourself will encourage you to pursue better goals. In the great journey of attaining MAHATMAN, one has to be compassionate from their position towards others.

Taking the audacious journey from happiness to greatness – great health, wealth, and wisdom- has made me aware of my potential. I energize and actualize my own aspirations and start working on them regularly. Here I am in life, moving from balance to boundaries, from intelligence to intensity and from moderation to mastery. Ever came across the terms Balance in Love? Or Moderation in love? No right. We all are well known with words like intelligence, power, and peace. Keep in mind that love is a powerful emotion, not a peaceful emotion. Make headway from peace towards power. We are already at peace which is our natural state. So why strive for what we already have? Seek new and more in life. Fail but never give up.

The New York Times reported that self-compassion may reduce the risk of developing anxiety or depression and keeps you more optimistic and less stressed. Further Research suggested loving yourself, helps you to procrastinate less from problems in your life. Love is not about balance, it is about expanding your horizon. It is about living life to the fullest. Give your life meaning and appreciate it. Encourage yourself to move from intelligence to emotional intensity. Age is not an obstacle; it’s never too late to start something new.

Life certainly has its own peaks and valleys. But when we face a downswing, a little self-love can help you put back on the top. A study published in the Journal of Psychological Science found that recently divorced individuals who spoke compassionately about themselves were able to bounce back in the months with a zeal of energy. Trying simple meditation helps you boost your self-esteem. Research by the University of Exeter and the University of Oxford looked at the effect of kind thoughts towards oneself and others on heart rate and feelings of self-compassion. The study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychological Science concluded that self-compassion had a great impact on the participants’ thinking.

“Life is complex and loving yourself is the best thing you can do.”
