This is the first pillar towards attaining MAHATMAN. In this modern era, we have so many options to take care of our bodies, yet we neglect them. Pursuing great health is to strengthen and advance your body and mind. One should be tough like a rock and supple like water. One should do each activity with passion and with mindfulness.
Every cell in your body should be divinely healthy. Your body and mind influence your entire life, your thoughts, attitude, and behaviour. It is critical that they work in harmony so you can achieve success in your craft, relationship, or community. To have the energy to work for long hours, your body and brain should be in line with each other at the moment. Every small activity that we follow benefits our body and brain in some or the other way. Like, how walking accentuates our senses, so does brushing our teeth early morning. It affects every part of your body smoothly.
HOW TO ACHIEVE GREAT HEALTH?
Sweat yourself out through weight training, aerobics, dance, Zumba, and sports. Throughout the day, remind yourself that whatever you do, you have to pursue great heath. With such thoughts, the most mundane tasks will yield great outcomes. Every second, life gives you opportunities, so stretch as far as possible to allow your mind to overcome criticisms. Stretching helps you to release toxins and create energy for great and fruitful work. Scientific Research by Wharton, MIT and London Business School suggests that laughter relieves stress and boredom and induces physical changes in your body leading to better physical, mental and emotional health.
We all know Ayurveda is the oldest form of medicine to promote natural well-being in humans. It suggests that when all our systems in the body are inequality and when our mind is happy yet active, we are healthy. Great health is required for being a MAHATMAN, a self-actualized human being embarking his journey from happiness to greatness. Here is how:
1. EAT HEALTHY.
What you eat is closely linked to your health. Making healthier food choices prevents you and protects you from health conditions.
2. REGULAR EXERCISE.
Exercises keep your body in motion and help treat various mental diseases. Making routine exercise as your habit will make you feel better and happy. Remember, any amount of exercise is better than none.
3. THINK POSITIVE & PRACTICE SELF-GRATITUDE.
A healthy positive attitude helps build a healthier immune system and a happy soul.
4. GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP.
Have trouble sleeping, try exercises like yoga or meditation. They help you calm your worries and problems.
5. AVOID STRESS
Being stressed is like inviting a disaster. Try to simplify your life by reducing stress and practicing positive exercises.
